Language praxi

The Language praxi is the URV’s online style guide. It has been designed as a reference tool to help the university community produce high-quality texts, using consistent linguistic criteria and a functional language model.

It offers guidance on grammar and style, orthotypography, administrative language, and writing. Most of the entries refer to Catalan, although some sections also include guidelines for Spanish and English (and there is a multilingual institutional nomenclature).

The content can be accessed via the menu or by using the search tool, which allows searches for words related to users' queries.

The Praxi incorporates adaptacions of content from interuniversitary products in which the Language and Publications Service has participated, such as the Multilingual criteria for equality-focused texts, the Linguistic recommendations for social media at universitis or the 20 recommendations for writing well.

The Language praxi is the property of the Language and Publications Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Its contents are under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA licence, which means they can be shared and adapted freely provided that their authorship is acknowledged and that they are shared under the same type of licence.

The project has received an INTERLINGUA grant from the Catalan government.
