• Correction and translation of URV institutional documents in Catalan, Spanish and English.

(*) Correction of the first 2,000 words of teaching documents in Catalan and English is free of charge, as is the correction of theses in Catalan, the translation into English of Catalan thesis abstracts, and the translation into Catalan of English thesis abstracts.

(**) One price of the other will be applied depending on the linguistic quality of the original text.

• The secretary’s offices of the URV’s faculties and schools can issue personal academic transcripts in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English) without the intervention of the Language and Publications Service. If a person requests a certificate in all three languages at the same time, it can be issued for a single fee. If they request certificates in different languages at different times, a fee must be paid for each certificate issued. This procedure is handled directly by the secretary's offices.
• It costs €43.05 to translate an academic transcript issued by the URV from Catalan or Spanish into English. It costs €25.70 to translate a degree certificate issued by the URV from Catalan or Spanish into English. It costs €16.48 to certify the validity of a translation of a certificate or academic transcript issued by an institution other than the URV. The user must contact the Language and Publications Service directly for these services.

Additional information

• All fees are per word of the original text.
• If, due to urgency or volume, the Language and Publications Service is unable to undertake the translation or correction of a text, it can outsource the job, but the user must cover the cost of this outsourcing. Jobs involving texts from the URV Foundation, university institutes and affiliated centres are subject to the same rates as research documents.
• Urgent jobs are subject to a 30% price increase. A surcharge may also be applied to jobs that present particular difficulty.
• The minimum fee for any paid job is €11.53.
• Copies of documents delivered in paper format cost €5.77.
• Requests for correction or translation services in a language other than Catalan, Spanish or English must be outsourced. The user must cover the full cost of this outsourcing.
• Before a user can request a new job, they must have paid for all previous ones. If the cost of a job is more than €1,000, the user must pay a 30% deposit of the total amount before agreeing to the job.
• If the person asking for a correction/translation service has a different VAT number from the URV, they must pay VAT on the job.

Turnaround times

The turnaround time for a correction or translation will be agreed with the Language and Publications Service before the job begins. The following turnaround times are provided for general reference:
