The URV Elementary Catalan Language Certificate accredits a B1 command of the language according to the European Framework and is recognised as being equivalent to the Catalan Government's Elementary Catalan Language Certificate.
To be able to do the exam you must register on Elementary Catalan 2, which is provided by the Language and Publications Service every term. Your registration fee gives the right to take the exam twice.
This level certifies that you can:
- Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
- Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
