The URV Basic Catalan Language Certificate accredits an A2 command of the language according to the European Framework and is recognised as being equivalent to the Catalan Government's Basic Catalan Language Certificate.
To be able to do the exam you must register on Basic Catalan 2, which the Language and Publications Service teaches as a face-to-face or online course. Your registration fee gives you the right to take the exam twice.
This level certifies that you can:
- Understand common phrases and expressions used in the academic world (basic personal information, courses, request for addresses, purchases, administrative procedures at a university secretary's office, etc.).
- Communicate in simple and routine situations requiring a simple and direct exchange of information about courses, residence and your immediate environment.
- Describe in simple terms aspects of your experience or background, immediate environment and immediate needs.
