Placement tests for Catalan courses
Before you complete your registration for levels B1, B2, C1 and C2 of the Catalan courses, students must have passed the previous level for B1, B2, C1 or C2 or or pass an online access test (written part: 19-20 September; oral part: 21-22 September), which can be requested at catala@urv.cat from 14 September (thetest consists of a grammar test, a writing test and an oral test).
Placement tests for English courses
Before you can register for an English course that is not for beginners (that is to say, English 2, English 3, English 4, English 5 or English 6), you must do a placement test if you have not satisfactorily completed the previous level with the Language and Publications Service or done the test in the previous year.
If you are a first-year undergraduate student, that is, if you are starting at the URV during the 2022-23 academic year, you do not need to take this test because a specific level test will be organized for new students. You will receive information on this test during the welcome period for new students at the start of the academic year.
The test is free. It is online via the Moodle platform. To do the test, you need a computer with an internet connection.
We recommend that you use Mozilla, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer as your browser.
The Language and Publications Service is offering the following level tests for the annual language courses for the 2022-23 academic year (you can sign up by clicking on the following links):
*Instructions for registering for a level test:
1) Click on the day you have chosen to do the test.
2) Enter your Spanish identity card number and date of birth.
3) Click Accept.
4) Enter your personal data.
5) For the registration fee, choose "0 €".
6) For the payment method, choose "transferència".
7) Enter any additional information
8) Click "Accept".
9) Accept.
Before the day of the test, you will receive a message with detailed information about the test and on how to access the online space to complete it
Please remember that the placement test is not a substitute for the final exam of any of the courses. If you fail the final exam of a course and you immediately do a placement test which places you in a higher level, the test result will automatically be invalidated and you will not be able to register until you pass the exam that you failed.
Placement tests for Spanish courses
Before you register for any course in Spanish for Foreign Learners, you must complete a level test before the course begins. To register for a level test, you must send an email to this address(ELIMINAR) up to 48 hours before the day you have chosen to do the test with the following information: your full name, identity document number, personal email address, date of birth and the day on which you want to do the test.
For the 2022-23 academic year, the following admissions tests are offered:
- 6 February, at 15.30
- 8 February, at 10.00
- 13 February, at 15.30
- 15 February, at 10.00
- 20 February, at 15.30
- 22 February, at 10.00
