Catalan placement tests
Before registering for the Catalan courses at levels B1, B2, C1 and C2, you must have a certificate of the previous level or pass an online placement test. To take the test, apply between 12 and 16 September by sending an email to catala(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat with your details (full name, first name and two surnames, and URV email address).
- Written test: 17-18 September
- Oral exam: 19-20 September
The placement test does not replace the final exam of any level. If you fail the final exam of a level, immediately take a placement test and are placed in a higher level, the exam will immediately be invalidated and you will not be able to register until you pass the final exam that you have failed.
English placement tests
Before registering, you must take a placement test unless you have an English certificate recognised by the URV. Check the recognised certificates at this link. To register for the test or send us the certificate:
- if you are a member of the URV (students, PDI and PTGAS): click on this link and follow the instructions for online registration in our Moodle virtual classroom
- if you are not a member of the URV: send an email to suportsl(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat with your details (name and surname, DNI/NIE/passport number, email address, etc.). If you have a certificate recognised by the URV, please attach it to the mail.
Please note that only registrations made 72 hours before the test will be valid. The test is free of charge and takes place on Campus Catalunya.
For the academic year 2024-25, the placement tests available are the following:
- 17 September, at 6 p.m., in computer classroom 1
- 26 September, at 6 p.m., in computer classroom 3
- 2 October, at 6 p.m., in computer classroom 3
- 11 October, at 13 a.m., in computer classroom 3
The placement test does not replace the final exam of any level. If you fail the final exam of a level, immediately take a placement test and are placed in a higher level, the exam will immediately be invalidated and you will not be able to register until you pass the final exam that you have failed.
Spanish placement tests
Before registering, you must take a placement test.
For the academic year 2024-25, the placement tests available are the following:
- 17 September, at 17.00
- 19 September, at 10.00
- 25 September, at 10.00
- 27 September, at 17.00 h
- 30 September, at 17.00 h
- 3 October, at 17.00 h
- 11 October, at 10.00 h
To register for the test, you have to fill in this form and select the day you want to take the test. Please note that only registrations made 72 hours before the test will be valid.
The test is free and virtual, through the Moodle platform. To take the test you need to have a computer with an Internet connection. The use of Firefox or Google Chrome is recommended.
Before the day of the test, each student will receive a message with detailed information about the test and how to access the space to take it.
