Placement tests

Placement tests for Catalan courses

Before you complete your registration for levels B1, B2, C1 and C2 of the Catalan courses, you must demonstrate that you have obtained the previous level or completed a level test (level tests will be held at the Language Service from 20 to 27 September between 10.00 and 13.00; the level test consists of a grammar test, a written test and an oral test).

Placement tests for English courses

Before you can register for an English course that is not for beginners (that is to say, English 2, English 3, English 4, English 5 or English 6), you must do a placement test if you have not satisfactorily completed the previous level with the Language Service or done the test in the previous year.

If you are a first-year undergraduate student, that is, if you are starting at the URV during the 2021-22 academic year, you do not need to take this test because a specific level test will be organized for new students. You will receive information on this test during the welcome period for new students at the start of the academic year.

The test is free. It is online via the Moodle platform. To do the test, you need a computer with an internet connection.

We recommend that you use Mozilla, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer as your browser.

For the 2021-22 academic year, the following admissions tests are offered (you can register by clickingon the following links up to 48 hours before the day you have chosen to do the test):
